Gather colleagues, friends, or family to play against other teams. Each team makes it possible to raise nearly $20,000 each year to enhance our services through vocational opportunities, training, community life skills, and other supports provided by The Center.
A Game Like No Other!
Our games start with a special moment—one of our clients proudly singing the National Anthem—followed by the excitement of the first pitch. At first, it may seem like a typical game… until the first bribe is called!
Bribes add a hilarious twist to the competition. Teams can get creative, from swapping out the opposing team’s bat for something unexpected to making them wear a bright pink dress! Our most competitive teams use clever bribes to keep their opponents on their toes. Want to learn more? Visit the "Bribe Your Opponent" section! The team that raises the most money in bribes will take home the coveted Bribe Champion Trophy for the season.
Food, Drinks & Fun
Enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on your favorite team! We’ll have concessions and beer, with all sales supporting this year’s goal to increase clients' access to the community. Each team registration includes 12 meal tickets, and additional food will be available for purchase.

Bribe Your Opponent
When on our field, we accept bribes! To call a bribe, simply pull out some cash and call out to our ump the bribe you’d like! For example, you could call out “$20 for the batter to use a tennis racket while batting!”
If a bribe is called against you that you’d like to avoid, you can make a bribe to “cancel” it. For example, you could call out “$30 to not use the tennis racket while batting!”
With bribes, each game is unique and can change quickly. Bribe more than your opposing team to win the match. The team to bribe the most throughout the games will take home a trophy as our Bribe Champion.
Batter or fielders to wear: Dresses, tutus, bathing suits, capes, fairy wings, costumes, overalls, wigs, hats, goggles, snorkels, etc.
Batter or base runners to wear: Clown shoes, boots, stilettos, broken-heeled shoes, roller skates, swimming flippers, etc.
Bat replacement ideas: Broom, rake, tennis racket, swim noodles, shovel, hockey stick, pool cue, hammer, mop, umbrella, golf club, etc.
Glove replacement ideas: Dustpan, 5-gallon bucket, (mini) trash can, etc.
Base runner ideas: Jump rope, bouncy ball, hula hoop, tricycle, scooter, skateboard, wagon, wheelbarrow, pogo stick, office chairs
Alternative ball ideas: Soccer ball, beach ball, frisbee, ping-pong ball, tennis ball, basketball, volleyball, etc.
Our 37th Annual Softball Fundraiser’s Bribe Champion was Niles Culver’s, bringing in over $1,000 with bribes.
